Eric Olufson

Eric maintains a very much hands on approach as a Tax & Advisory Partner with a large and diverse client base within the Cairns office. Eric has an ability to build strong and enduring relationships with clients and his team through a high level of commitment to service.

Eric supports family, corporates and SMEs, large and small, on a wide range of business and accounting issues, including business acquisitions and expansion, business restructuring, taxation and commercial issues.  His numerous assignments have included deceased estate and testamentary trusts, corporatisation of trading trusts, taxation and business advice to family owned businesses and property developers, and assisting Australian based clients with international cross border taxation issues.

Eric has over 30 years’ experience as a chartered accountant joining the firm in 1984. Elected to the Board of BDO (Nth Qld), Eric has held the position of Chairman and Managing Partner from 2002-2022, and is committed to the continued growth and leadership of his team.
