Ashton is a Partner in BDO’s Deal Advisory team in Perth, where he has gained over 13 years’ experience. He specialises in business, company, and financial instrument valuation. Ashton applies this skillset across a range of industries and for different purposes, and mainly for preparing independent expert reports (IERs) and purchase price allocations (PPAs). 

He also completed a secondment to ASIC, where his primary responsibilities were reviewing IERs and independent limited assurance reports (ILARs), and providing specialist valuation and accounting treatment advice.

• Financial instrument valuations (varying from Black-Scholes options to complex derivatives incorporating Monte Carlo simulations)
• PPAs in the mining, oil and gas, and healthcare sectors.
