Four new Partners join BDO in Sydney

BDO in Australia welcomes four new Partners to its Sydney office as the firm continues to grow.

Joining the firm’s growing Partner ranks in NSW will be Charlie Puddicombe (Risk Advisory Services) who joined in February, Bianca Buckman (Audit & Assurance) who started on 1 March, Paul Childers (Deal Advisory) who joins on 3 March, and Ravi Amirthalingam (Corporate & International Tax), who commences on 17 March.

Charlie specialises in a suite of governance, risk, and control services, including internal audit services, training, workshops, regulatory compliance, conformance with standards, remediation initiatives, and project assurance.

Bianca has over 25 years of experience in providing assurance and advisory services across Australia and the United Kingdom in the Financial Services, Real Estate and Asset Management industries, including listed (including ASX 50 and FTSE 50), unlisted, multinational and local organisations with diverse funding structures.

Paul brings more than 30 years of professional experience to BDO, including 25 years in mid-market M&A. He specialises in buy-side and sell-side M&A advisory services, delivering professional and tailored sale outcomes focused on shareholders' transaction objectives.

Ravi specialises in providing tax advice to clients in professional services, infrastructure, and general corporates. He brings over 20 years of experience in corporate tax compliance, tax advisory, tax due diligence in M&A transactions, and tax management.

BDO NSW Office Managing Partner, Grant Saxon, said the appointments were reflective of BDO’s strong market position and the calibre and breadth of talent looking to join the firm.

“We are pleased to welcome Charlie, Bianca, Paul, and Ravi to the BDO Partnership as we continue to grow our market share off the back of strong demand,” said Mr Saxon.

“Our clients and the market more generally see BDO as having the culture, capability and expertise to help them navigate in times of significant uncertainty. This in turn is helping us to attract some exceptional talent to join our already strong Partner group.”

The latest appointments follow a strong start to the year for the firm, with 13 new Partner promotions and five new Partner hires announced at the start of the year, taking the total number of Partners above 300.
