BDO welcomes John Burger and Tony Batsakis

BDO is proud to announce the appointment of Tony Batsakis and John Burger as the newest partners to join our team.

Tony brings over 28 years of experience in assurance and advisory services, specialising in financial audits, internal controls, and financial reporting.

BDO's Melbourne Office Managing Partner, David Garvey, said Mr Batsakis’ expertise is a major coup.

Mr Batsakis previously held a leadership role at KPMG, where he developed a reputation for his solid commitment to innovation and quality, most notably leading the National Enterprise Audit Division where he oversaw significant growth.

Passionate about supporting emerging businesses and mid-market clients in Australia, Tony is excited to join BDO, a firm that shares his commitment to client service and innovation.

Meanwhile, BDO has announced the appointment of our new Project and Infrastructure Advisory partner, John Burger to the Perth office. 

Mr Burger joins BDO after spending the past 10 years with EY as an associate partner in Strategy and Transactions, where he was responsible for leading EY’s Real Estate and Project Management division in Perth.

BDO's Perth Office Managing Partner James Massie-Taylor said Mr Burger’s appointment will significantly strengthen BDO’s commercial real estate advisory practice.

“A skilled communicator and proven operator, John has relationships and established networks across government, private and not-for-profit organisations,” Mr Massie-Taylor said.

“He brings with him over 20 years of experience in the WA market, having led consultancy and multi-disciplinary teams to deliver commercial and financial advice to a diverse client, industry, and sector base.
