Victor Owusu

Victor is a Director in the Risk Advisory division with BDO in Sydney. He has over 15 years’ experience in helping organisations improve operations by evaluating processes and assessing risk.

Victor is client-centric and always seeks to deliver value to clients and stakeholders in external audit and risk management roles, and is a subject matter expert in the Mutual Banks sector.

He adopts a data-driven approach to solving problems and is highly experienced in understanding client needs and providing tailored solutions.

Victor recently worked for an investment bank in a senior manager risk role in line 1. Responsibilities included supporting senior stakeholders to capture, report, and apply operational risk best practices, assess the operating effectiveness of controls, review operational risk incidents, and enhance key risk indicator reporting.

He previously worked for a global consulting firm in several management roles in the assurance division and assisted with embedding data analytics in the execution of external audits. He also undertook a secondment to London for an external audit of a bank.
