- Prudential tax reviews, including fringe benefits tax (FBT) advice and compliance
- Supporting clients subject to ATO audit or review
- Tax effective structuring of corporate groups, including for public sector and not-for-profit entities
Experience
- Advisory in relation to CGT on corporate exit - Advisory on the most tax efficient means by which to sell interests in a corporate group. Analysed taxation outcomes on a sale of partial interest and suggested alternatives to mitigate tax impost
- Income tax consolidation - Assisted a large corporate group with the decision on whether to elect to consolidate, including assessing the consolidation on the group’s tax loss position
- Prudential reviews of FBT - Review of the FBT compliance of large groups for internal audit purposes. This includes identifying misstatements and managing voluntary disclosure to the ATO
- Structuring - Provided structuring advice in relation to a medium-sized Australian listed corporate entity’s international operations, including liaising with our US and Vietnam offices to ensure comprehensive advice was provided.
