Julianne is a Partner in BDO’s People Advisory team in Brisbane. She is dedicated to helping clients harness and future-proof their workforce as part of an integrated business strategy. With over 18 years’ consulting experience in the UK, US, Europe, Africa, India, New Zealand, and Australia, Julianne has supported both public and private sector clients with a broad range of workforce issues. Her expertise includes overseeing large-scale change programs, developing new operating models, and designing organisational structures that help clients encourage adoption, improve efficiencies, realign ways of working, or reduce cost.

Julianne’s experience also includes defining future workforce requirements and developing strategies to help acquire, retain, develop, and engage talent critical to business needs. Strategic workforce planning

  • Co-led an investigation into the impact and effectiveness of a federal government department’s human resources, contributing to policy improvements that enhanced service access and equity across Australia
  • Designed a major bank’s strategic workforce plan, workforce planning tool, and enterprise-wide strategic workforce planning framework.

Organisational design

  • Led a comprehensive organisational structure and resourcing review for a state government agency, developing strategic solutions to complex operational challenges
  • Reviewed a large aged care provider’s vision and operating model, creating plans to align staff actions with their 2030 vision and strategy.

Change management

  • Led a team supporting a state government department’s organisational change management program for an ICT implementation affecting over 1,000 employees
  • Helped a major insurer implement their evolved data strategy, including developing their change vision, narrative, strategy, and plan.

Leadership strategy

  • Helped a large not-for-profit define the leadership capabilities required for their future business needs.

  • Designed and implemented a future-proofed performance management system for a state government committee, including resources for employees and managers
