Joubert is a Partner in BDO’s Risk Advisory Services team in Brisbane.

He specialises in contract and procurement assurance and advisory services for a wide range of public and private sector clients, working closely with them and with contractors to deliver value and positive outcomes on major infrastructure projects.

Joubert has over 25 years’ experience helping organisations improve their operations and accomplish objectives by assessing internal control environments, risk management, and governance processes.

Prior to joining BDO, Joubert was forensic risk auditor for a major global financial services company, responsible for identifying, investigating, and prosecuting matters identified, as well as implementing procedural improvements to reduce future exposure.

  • Cost verification audits on major infrastructure delivery projects across six different regions for a state government department.

Grant management process reviews

  • Assessed natural disaster relief and recovery arrangements claims and related internal controls processes for a state government authority
  • Led BDO’s Risk Advisory Services team as they assisted a state government authority with a COVID-19 loan program
  • Supported a First Nations health service with a detailed review of funding agreements.
