Chris is a Director in BDO's Business Restructuring team in Brisbane. He partners with individuals, businesses, and large corporations who are experiencing challenging financial circumstances to find practical solutions and maximise stakeholder benefits.

Chris has helped many companies through corporate insolvency appointments; he is experienced in managing corporate restructures, conducting due diligence and investigative reviews, and undertaking debt advisory engagements.

He began his accounting career in 2007, and joined BDO in 2012 before being appointed Director in 2023.

• Day-to-day trade on management and sale-of-business facilitation for various clients in the tourism, hospitality, and leisure; manufacturing; technology; agribusiness; and retail sectors
• Acquisition due diligence for a hospitality group relating to regional Queensland venues
• Financial sustainability review for an agribusiness industry association to understand ongoing operational viability
• Voluntary administration and liquidation engagements across a variety of industries and locations
• Major Australian banks:
  • IARs of customers in a variety of industries (including retail; fast food; tourism, hospitality, and leisure; and transport)
  • Customer business reviews, analysing business operations, competitors, projected financial performance, and financial position assessment, to assist the banks’ ongoing management of the customer, lending position, and risk requirements
  • Pre-lending due diligence with respect to an online retailer
  • Secondments to assist two major banks with strategically managing and restructuring their financially distressed commercial lending customers.
