Anna Doogan

Executive summary 

Anna is a Director in the Audit & Assurance Quality team with BDO in Sydney. She has over 25 years of experience in external audit, internal audit and audit quality. 

Prior to joining BDO, Anna had experience working in a global cyber security audit firm, a leading accounting firm and the national auditor for the Australian Government. She was also a sole practitioner and owner of a CA ANZ practice. Her technical expertise comes from leading external audit engagements, outsourced internal audit functions, and working on technical audit engagements. She has worked with various sized entities in the private and public sector, including large Commonwealth Government departments and agencies. 

Anna is dedicated to adding value through the audit process to positively impact clients while ensuring quality as a trusted adviser.

• Engagement lead of outsourced internal audit functions for Commonwealth Government departments and agencies 
• Registered SMSF auditor, completing financial and compliance audits for small to medium sized SMSFs 
• Providing advice on audit technical consultations supporting a culture of consultation 
• Development of audit methodology, including guidance and resources, to support audit methodology and changes in auditing standards 
• Quality assurance reviews of audit files.
