Three new partners joining BDO
No sign of things slowing down at BDO as the firm adds three new partners to its ranks. The latest appointments will be based in Melbourne and Brisbane.
BDO’s Melbourne office welcomes Michelle Bennett as a tax partner, as well as David Kwong as a project and infrastructure advisory partner.
Michelle joins BDO from KPMG where she was an indirect tax partner with over 25 years’ experience advising clients on GST, stamp duty, and land tax.
Michelle has a focus on property and infrastructure investments, mining, manufacturing, private equity acquisitions and integrations, and managing interactions with the revenue authorities across the business lifecycle.
David has over 15 years’ experience helping private and public clients solve problems around how infrastructure should be conceived and delivered. He specialises in providing advice on complex infrastructure projects, precinct regeneration, and public policy initiatives.
Prior to BDO, David led the Australian and Pacific infrastructure and precincts advisory practice area for a global consulting firm listed on the New York Stock Exchange.
BDO’s Brisbane office also welcomes Ally Flint as a partner in the firm’s Project and Infrastructure Advisory business.
Ally was most recently a Principal in Economics at one of the leading global accounting firms, and will apply her apply her industry leadership in regional economics, land use modelling and demand forecasting to inform business intelligence across sectors with a need for evidence-based planning.
BDO’s chief executive partner, Tony Schiffmann, attributed these most recent hires to the firm’s continuing drive for quality people in response to the high levels of opportunity presenting to the firm.
“We continue to see extraordinary demand for skills in our sector and this is reflected in how we are servicing our clients, attracting high calibre talent and retaining and promoting great people,” commented Mr Schiffmann.
Alongside these new hires, BDO is also pleased to announce the internal promotion of five new partners in January.
