Successful sale of Thor Building Products to Kingspan Group

Thor Building Products Pty Ltd (Thor) was formed in May 2000, developing a new manufacturing technology to produce reflective foil insultation used in the external wrapping of residential dwellings - ultimately leading to the creation of the Rhino Wrap product range.  

Since the company’s foundation, Thor has expanded to include reflective roof insultation and high-quality bulk insulation solutions.

Buyer, Kingspan Group, is the global leader in high-performance insultation and building envelope solutions.

BDO provided an end-to-end service delivery for the vendor, assisting in the sale readiness process, leading and managing negotiations, preparing vendor materials, managing the due diligence process and facilitating the legal process and documentation.

The sale resulted in a highly successful outcome for the vendor.
