ERM is the world’s largest pure-play sustainability consultancy operating in over 40 countries and majority owned by private equity firm KKR since 2021. ERM has acquired 100 per cent ownership of Energetics, a provider since 1984 of advice for climate risk and energy transition to ASX 50 companies.
The deal is set to enhance ERM’s capabilities and presence in the Australian market whilst capitalising on the strategic fit of both firms specialising in ESG advisory services with a total workforce post deal of 600 staff.
The BDO team, led by corporate finance and deal advisory partner, Sebastian Stevens, were engaged by KKR-backed sustainability giant ERM, to provide due diligence on the transaction.
