Free training resources – Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) explained
Given recent developments in sustainability reporting, the importance of understanding existing sustainability reporting standards has increased. In June 2023, the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB) issued IFRS S2 Climate-related Disclosures which incorporates many requirements of pre-existing sustainability reporting standards, including recommendations from the Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures (TCFD).
This free course serves as an introduction to the TCFD’s recommendations, which are already required in some jurisdictions and form the basis for the ISSB's climate standard, IFRS S2. The course covers the following topics and has a ‘test your knowledge’ section at the end:
- IFRS Sustainability Disclosure Standards and TCFD Recommendations
- Background - History and Current Application of TCFD Worldwide
- Overview of TCFD Framework
- Pillar 1 - Governance
- Pillar 2 - Strategy
- Pillar 3 - Risk Management
- Pillar 4 - Metrics and Targets
- Conclusion.
