In this edition we continue our series on ‘Blind Freddy’ common errors, i.e. errors that are so obvious that even ‘Blind Freddy’ would spot them. Our third article in the 2016 series focuses on common errors in accounting for impairment.
We also look at changes that the International Accounting Standards Board has made to IFRS 15 Revenue from Contracts with Customers, as well the impact of recent regulatory changes on remuneration reports of listed companies, and the impact of Federal Budget changes to company tax rates on current and deferred tax balances for 30 June 2016 financial statements.
Lastly, we review recent proposed changes to the ASX Listing Rules against current requirements for being admitted to the official list.
